Europe's biggest 4x4 show moves to Eastnor Castle

The organisers of Europe's biggest 4x4 exhibition are launching a brand new show at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.

The Eastnor Land Rover Show will take place over the weekend of August 25th - 26th and will feature a range of historic 4x4s, including rare or prototype models.

Events such as these provide a perfect opportunity for off-road vehicle enthusiasts to learn more about the history of the 4x4.

There will also be the chance for visitors to drive their own off-roader around the track used by Land Rover to test their new vehicles. Such is the popularity of the show, this particular opportunity might encourage Land Rover fans to approach a 4x4 hire company and rent a vehicle for the day.

A report from thisiscornwall.co.uk warns that there are limited opportunities to drive around the Land Rover test track and have suggested that those interested in doing so should book as early as possible.

The show will also feature a spare parts jumble sale, which is likely to be of great interest to those who enjoy restoring old vehicles.

In an interview with theautochannel.com, organiser Mark Woodward insinuated the new location for the show was almost a no-brainer.

He said: "I'm delighted to bring a new Land Rover show to Eastnor Castle. The two have very close links spanning over half a century and there isn't a more suitable setting for the show."

Eastnor Castle is just a couple of hours drive from Portsmouth and there will be a campsite set up for motoring fans wishing to stay the night.
