Motorists are being shown ways in which they can squeeze every last drop out of the petrol they put in their car.
With summer approaching and many people opting for car hire to take some time away, the AA has unveiled ways in which motorists can get the most from their tank of fuel, saving not only cash but also the environment.
As petrol and diesel float around the £1.40 per litre price, the issue of economical driving has become a hot one, with motorists looking for ways in which they can bring down rising costs. Now, the AA has unveiled a course to teach these tricks, claiming that considerate driving could save regular drivers £350 a year.
So far, around 800 people have undertaken the course, meaning that the total amount of money saved to date is in the region of £130,000 per year as well as immeasurable green benefits.
Speaking to telegraph.co.uk, eco-driving specialist Neil Greig explained: "It's no longer an ethical choice; it's now a money-saving essential.
"The best fuel saver is a light right foot and anticipating the road ahead. You should be able to save around 10 per cent."
