Book rental cars for Olympic Games now, says expert

An expert has advised Britons wishing to rent a car during the period of the 2012 Olympic Games to do so now, in order to beat the rush.

Speaking to Responsesource.com, Gareth Robinson - who is expert on all things car rental-related - claimed that such is the scale of the event that Brits would be ignorant not to secure their hire cars now.

"By doing this, people can be sure they're giving themselves the best chance possible of getting a value for money deal, plus also extra things such as child seats or satnavs," he said.

Robinson added: "So people who want to head off to Wales or the north of England to see specific London 2012 Olympics events should plan ahead and book their rental car well in advance."

What's more, the specialist added that car hire prices may be more favourable when booking in advance, as they are likely to be "impacted" during the coming months and immediately before next summer.

People should probably think about which model will be best for them too, depending on what they will be using it for. If, as Robinson suggested, they plan to travel to Wales for a particular event, they may wish to go for 4x4 hire; allowing them to navigate any especially hilly routes.

However if they are planning to head into London for an event, they might consider a smaller model in order to zip around more easily; even more pertinent given some 5.5 million people are expected to descend upon London during the Games, Mail Online suggests.
