Dear Customers,

In the best interests of you and our staff and in light of the developing news surrounding Coronavirus (Covid-19), we want to reassure you that SSD is doing everything possible to keep you and our staff safe by maintaining the highest possible standards in cleaning, hygiene and personal distancing. In addition to this we are taking the following measures:-

Our Staff and Yourselves

 Please be mindful of our staff and yourselves and ensure you adhere to the 2 metre rule when entering our offices and being shown around our vehicles.

Temporary Alteration of our Hours of Business

Portsmouth Branch: Mon-Fri 0800 to 1700, Sat 0800 to 1100, Sun 0800 to 1000.

Fareham Branch: Mon-Fri 0800 to 1700, Sat 0800 to 1100, Sun 0800 to 1000.

Vehicles can be returned outside hours as at present.

Vehicles Needed for the NHS, Pharma and Supermarket Deliveries 

Special discounts are available for all these uses. Please enquire on 07867 557400 or at one of our offices.

Cancellation or Alteration of Bookings

No fees will be charged for cancellation of prepaid bookings prior to the start of the hire.

 Vehicle & Premises Cleaning

  • We have introduced extra cleaning procedures on top of those already in place, with the regular use of specialised cleansing disinfectants on all our rental vehicles and our premises to minimise virus transmission.
  • All vehicles are thoroughly cleaned after each hire in a multi-step process, paying extra special attention to customer contact points such as door handles, steering wheels, gear sticks, keys and other hard surfaces.
  • Our employees follow health recommendations, such as wearing nitrite gloves and washing their hands intensively on a regular basis.
  • On counters in our offices, we are providing protective nitrite gloves and a desk wipe down between each customer.

In these challenging times, we feel it important to stay open to provide an essential service, helping ensure the safe movement of people and goods in the light of public transport disruption.

And please be assured, your safety and that of our staff is our top priority.
